Writing is a process!
My five-part series, The Katori Chronicles took a little over seven years to complete. I may return to this world someday with a novel or two, since Riome and Benmar's back stories beg to be told, but for now it is finished.
During a whole house renovation project, I wrote my next novel. The process took nearly two years, but I was pleased to announce the publication of A Shadow's Curse in November 2024.
As any writer will tell you, multiple stories are often fighting for their attention. My writing process is not always the same, but it usually starts by jotting down notes in my journals, my phone, or any random scrap of paper I can find. Once I finalize a few ideas, I pitch them to the team, and we vote. Then I start collecting inspirational artwork and developing character cards. Next the outline slowly comes together, and the writing begins.
I look forward to sharing my current work in progress with you late 2025.
