Rediscovering My Voice After the Quiet
Sometimes silence isn’t the end of a story, it’s the pause before a new chapter.

Why I Started Blogging in the First Place
I created a blog because that was simply the thing to do when you built a website. Everyone had one, and it felt like the natural place to put thoughts that did not belong inside my novels. It was a way to convince myself and others that I knew what I was doing. The truth is that most of us learn on the job. Our writing develops as we go, and the blog was my way of documenting that growth.
Back then, the blog felt like a companion. A place to think out loud. A place to say the things that did not fit neatly into a chapter or a scene. And journal my process.
When Everything Went Quiet
I turned the blog off because it became overwhelming. The dates of no new posts line up almost perfectly with the Covid years. Covid altered everything for everyone. We were all forced into lockdown, and that shift created a kind of silence that was heavy. Doubt crept in. Doubt that no one cared. Doubt that my words were floating into a void.
So, I shut down. Not my writing, but my willingness to share the journey. And at that time my journey was just beginning.
How Social Media Pulled Me Back Into the Light
Oddly enough, social media saved me. I am a self-proclaimed introvert, and yet the connections I made there kept me going. Every time someone said, "I loved your book or thank you for sharing my book," something inside me lifted. Supporting other people lifted me too. It reminded me that connection is not just possible, it is necessary.
Those moments said, "Turn the blog back on." Let it be what it was meant to be. A place for words that matter... timing does not.
Who This Blog Is For Now
These words are not just for me. They are for every reader, every indie author, every person who stumbles across my page and feels something. Maybe they get inspired that I did not give up after the gap. Maybe they find a post and think, hey, let’s connect. Maybe they realize that they are not alone in their own creative pause.
Turning the blog back on is not about filling the past. It is about honoring the present. It is about giving myself permission to speak again and giving others a place to land.
“Every restart is a reminder that the story is still unfolding.”
Where This Leads
This post sets the stage for everything that comes next. The indie author reflections. The community conversations. The behind-the-scenes truths. The encouragement for readers and writers alike.
If you want to explore the next part of this journey, you can return to my blog for community, support, or creative freedom.
But for now, this is enough. The blog is back on. The words are flowing again. And the story continues.
